What is the difference between a Mortgage Broker and a Bank Mortgage Specialist?
December 19, 2014
Question:
What is the difference between a Mortgage Broker and a Bank Mortgage Specialist?
Answer:
That is a really great question! An Invis Mortgage Broker is 100% independent of any Financial Institution, Real Estate Firm or Lender. We offer a vast array of Lenders and Products to our clients and the Client’s best interest is always respected. As a Mortgage Broker, I have obtained my Accredited Mortgage Professional designation from the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals, confirming my commitment to yearly ongoing education and to ethical business practices.
A Bank Mortgage Specialist is an employee of a Financial Institution offering a single Bank product.
(All licensed Mortgage Broker will be registered with the Financial Institution of BC –under FICOM. You can also verify a qualified Mortgage Broker by their business card as it will not have a Bank Logo). Invis Mortgage Brokers are compensated by the Lender receiving the mortgage OAC/ E&O.
